Bishop Blanchette Scholarship
Established in 1982, Bishop Blanchette Scholarships are made in his name each year to students in a parish affiliated with the Council
of Catholic Women Organization and who will be attending Catholic High School in the Joliet Diocese. Scholarship awards are made
on the basis of scholastic achievement and financial need, as well as a statement from the candidates expressing their reasons for
wanting a Catholic education. If interested, please read the guidelines below and download the application from the link below.

The guidelines are as follows:

--The student must be a parishioner of St. Irene.

--$25.00 fee for the FACTS application must be submitted along with the application.

--Application must be received by March 1, 2010.

Only one applicant will be chosen by St Irene and will be accepted only after further review by the Diocese. The scholarship will be
awarded at a Scholarship Awards Mass on May 6, 2010 with a reception for the chosen applicant to follow the mass.

Any family who has already submitted a FACTS application for the upcoming year is eligible for the Bishop Blanchette Scholarship by
calling FACTS at 800.390.4690 and ask to be added to the Joliet Diocesan Council of Catholic Woman awards.

The monitoring committee will not have access to any detailed information provided to FACTS.
